The Riversleigh

The Riversleigh offers boutique hotel accommodation with Victorian era elegance.

The hotel is located in the heart of Bairnsdale, overlooking the Mitchell River. It comprises of two former gracious homes that were originally built in the 1880s. While they have been extensively refurbished to provide modern day comfort, they still retain many of their original design elements.

There are 20 luxuriously appointed rooms all with 4 metre high ceilings and period fittings. Each room includes either a queen or king bed, luxurious linen, comfortable arm chairs, Nespresso coffee machine, bar fridge and a private ensuite. Spa and twin rooms are available. There are also executive suites with a kitchenette and a separate living area which can sleep an extra 2 people on the sofa bed.

A complimentary continental breakfast is served daily in the dining room.

Relax in either the reading room with its own fireplace, the picturesque courtyard, or on the upstairs balcony which offers river and rural views.

An opulent lounge bar is located on the property which offers a selection of local wines, spirits, and cocktails.
