Located on the western outskirts of town, the botanic gardens were first established in 1869. They consist of one hectare of gardens and a 7 hectare arboretum that features several rare trees. Enjoy picturesque views over basalt plains and the volcanic lakes of Bullen Merri and Gnotuk from the elevated gardens which are perched on a hillside.
