Located between Harrietville and Dinner Plain, Mount Hotham is an alpine village which receives higher natural snowfalls than any other Victorian ski resort. It is set atop a ridge overlooking the surrounding countryside with more than 80 ski runs and 13 lifts in operation when conditions are at their peak. As well as offering outstanding ski and snowboarding terrain, there are first class resort facilities including supermarkets, restaurants, cafes, bars, snow gear hire outlets, and accommodation for thousands of people ranging from motels to lodges and chalets. During the summer, enjoy bushwalking, road cycling, cross country mountain biking and challenging 4WD tracks.

Murray to Mountains Rail Trail

A scenic walking and cycling track which spans over 100 kilometres and traverses the ever-changing landscapes of farmland, natural bushland and hidden valleys. Along the way, visit wineries, breweries, gourmet producers and explore historic towns. The trail extends from Wangaratta to Bright and Harrietville, with branches out to Milawa, Beechworth, Yackandandah and Wandiligong. There is also a separate section from Rutherglen to Wahgunyah.
