Located in the main street of Warburton, the centre hosts a regular program of art exhibitions, movies, professional shows, workshops and festivals. It also includes the Warburton Mechanics Institute Hall, an arts studio and the Mecca Theatre.

The trail starts at Lilydale railway station and goes through bushland, farmland and fern gullies to the township of Warburton. See the ruins of old railway stations and platforms on your journey and explore several towns along the trail.

The lookout tower at the peak is 21 metres high and offers panoramic views. Part way up the mountain is the Rainforest Gallery with its spectacular skywalk aerial walkway through the tree tops.
